Situation: A multi-faceted packaging dilemma posed specific needs for dosage compliance and tracking, safety, titration, and senior-friendly accessibility -- all with billboarding and branding requirements.
Challenge: Solve the packaging dilemma and increase sales of the Aricept® Alzheimer’s medication product.
Solution: PPS’ structural and graphic design expertise resulted in the Aricept® Fight Back Kit.
Results: Fight Back Kits were well-received by the market. Now in their fifth year of production, the kits continue to drive sales.
"Eisai expects quality in our products as well as in any of our contract packagers that we utilize. We have certification programs that we put into play.
"It goes back to the old adage, if you have confidence in your suppliers, then you can lessen the load. PPS is one of the few companies that we were able to validate and certify that they had their quality systems in place so that they could go on a reduced auditing sequence. Usually a company like PPS can be audited at least two or three times a year. Because of their quality effort and their certification with us, we plan for a yearly audit inspection.
